What the site is for
AnyPlaceholder creates placeholder images, text, avatars, structured data, charts, PDFs, fictional maps, SVG backgrounds and WAV audio. Use them to test a layout, exercise an upload form, explain a prototype or prepare a reproducible development fixture. The tools are free to use and do not require an account.

How files are generated
The exact-size file, SVG background and WAV audio tools generate output in your browser without sending that output to our server. The other generators use public API URLs: settings included in a URL are sent to the service. Do not put personal information or confidential document titles in those URLs. Site analytics and advertising may make separate network requests; see the privacy policy for details.
Use fixtures for what they represent
Maps are fictional. Charts and records are synthetic. A valid sample PDF is not a substitute for every possible PDF feature. Each tool explains its constraints so you can choose a suitable fixture instead of treating a visual preview as a complete test.
Report a problem
Please include the tool name, browser, settings that reproduce the problem, and what you expected to happen. Use synthetic inputs and remove personal or confidential information from screenshots and URLs. We can use a clear reproduction to investigate a problem; we do not promise a response time.
Optional support
If a tool saved you time, you can support development and hosting through the existing Buy Me a Coffee link. Support is optional and does not unlock features, remove limits or affect access to the tools.
