What the tools process

AnyPlaceholder does not require an account. Image, text, avatar, data, chart, PDF and map tools send their settings to our API in a request URL. The URL can be visible to recipients and to services that handle the request. Use sample labels, and do not enter personal or confidential information.

The exact-size test file, SVG background and WAV audio generators run in your browser. Their generated file contents are not uploaded to AnyPlaceholder. A background settings link contains the pattern, dimensions and colors in its URL fragment.

Usage measurement

We use Google Analytics to understand page visits and tool use. Our custom events record the tool, page language, output format, generation or error category, and actions such as copying or starting a download. Those event parameters exclude free-form titles, labels, seeds, generated URLs and generated file contents. A download-start event does not establish that a file was saved.

Google tags can process page and device information and use cookies. We use the reports to identify failed operations and improve useful tools; we do not describe all measurement data as anonymous. How Google uses information from partner sites explains Google's processing.

Advertising and optional support

The site includes Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers for advertising, subject to your settings and applicable consent choices. See Google's privacy policy and ad settings.

Support links open Buy Me a Coffee. Opening a link is optional, and using the generators does not require a payment. The support destination handles information entered there under its own policies. AnyPlaceholder records a support-link click as interest in support, not as a completed payment.

Browser controls and retention

You can manage cookies in your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. The generators do not require Analytics to succeed. Browser-side download URLs are temporary; save a generated file if you want to keep it.

API requests are handled by AWS infrastructure. Service operation and error records may contain request or connection information. Google measurement data is retained according to the property configuration and Google's applicable policies. This page does not promise that request metadata is never retained.
